Background information:

Irving^9 D. Van Wickler (Charles^8, William^7, Evert^6, Evert^5, Frederick^4, Evert^3, Gerrit^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes), b. 21 June 1879, Long Island, NY. He married Sarah F. _______ (b. abt 1876, NY) before 1902, NY.

Children: Ronald^10 (Ronels) Van Wickler, b. abt 1905, Hempstead, NY. According to the Suffolk County News, Sayville, NY, Fri. Dec 21, 1934 [p. 9]. Ronald, age 33 and his cousin, Floyd Van Wickler, age 35, died in a car accident in December, 1934. Ronald's father, Irving was also injured in that accident.[courtesy of James Van Wickler, via 2 Oct 2010 email] Although the news article claims that Floyd was a cousin of Ronald, he appears to be his uncle or...Irving's younger brother as can be seen in documentation on the family page of Charles and Phebe Van Wickler. It is also interested to note that Floyd lived in Manhattan in 1930 as his occupation is listed as "chauffer"
